SERVICES

  • Other services - Legal practitioners

Legal practitioners are to report compliance of their trust accounts with the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 and the Legal Practice Council Rules on an annual basis. We assist by providing a reasonable assurance opinion on the trust account, within the scope of the International Standards on Assurance Engagement (ISAE) 3000 (revised), which is submitted to the Legal Practice Council within the six month reporting deadline.
We take pride in our punctuality and assist our client with their time planning to ensure their reporting deadlines are adhered to.

Although not required by the Act or Rules, we also extend our services to the financial reporting of the legal practitioners' business, should the need arise.

  • Other services - Property Practitioners

Property practitioners are required to audit their business accounting records and trust accounts in terms of the Property Practitioners Act and submit the audit report on the trust accounts to the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
There is an exception on the audit of business accounting records, where these records will only be subject to an independent review if the revenue is below R2.5 million and the property practitioner complies with the Companies Act requirements on the performance of an independent review. Should the property practitioner hold an PPRA exemption letter on the trust accounts, no audit will be required.

Due to the various compliance considerations within this Act, we also assist our clients in understanding and navigating the relevant requirements to ensure appropriate compliance.

  • Other services - AUP & Confirmations

Stakeholders or potential investors may require an audit on a specific aspect or business process before entering into new ventures or to facilitate better decision making. We can therefore design and agree upon audit procedures to perform to suit all your business needs. The auditor's report on the findings is usually restricted to those parties who developed the agreed-upon procedures because of the specificity of the desired results.
